Welcome to our class blog! Please follow the instructions below for your spring break assignment.
1. Create a new blog post. Put your name and "Poetry Assignment" in the title.
2. Copy and paste the text of a poem into the blog. Don't forget the title!
3. Credit the author by including his or her name.
4. Select one literary device used in the poem (personification, metaphor, simile, onomatopoeia, descriptive language) etc. and draw our attention to it by putting it in bold font.
5. Skip a line after the poem and name the device.
6. Write a well-developed paragraph that explains how the device creates meaning in the poem. Why do you think the author chose to use it?
7. Be sure to use correct spelling, capitlization, punctuation, and grammar in your post! This isn't Facebook :)
8. Comment on one classmates' post. Give one compliment and one suggestion.
